CYLINDRICAL LENSES

Cylindrical lenses are cylindrical in shape and are astigmatic. A refractive error, called astigmatism, affects beams that emanate from an object and enter the lens obliquely. This type of lens is used, for example, in optical measurement technology, in laser scanning, in lighting technology, etc.
